Service sector in Finland
Private services are the largest employer in Finland. Private services without trade employ more than one million people, and most of the new jobs are created in the service sector. Services generate a considerable share of the GDP and a large part of Finnish exports. The service sector plays a crucial role in generating climate solutions.
Services create growth in employment and exports
Globally, the service trade has grown faster than the traditional trade of goods for a decade, and services also constitute three quarters of Finnish exports. Services have a high domestic content and most of the added value produced by them remains in Finland.
Palta builds a better world for a successful service sector
To be successful, the service economy requires a competent workforce, a competitive labour market, an export and innovation policy that takes services into consideration as well as regulations encouraging renewal.
Our goal is to strengthen the sustainable growth of services in Finland and internationally, generate opportunities for renewal and create a competitive operating environment for service sector businesses.
